Therefore, if there is an excessive amount of LDL cholesterol mixing with the bloodstream the end result causes the cholesterol to cling to the inner portion of the arteries. This clinging to the walls of the arteries can cause clogging which in turn can lead to major negative medical conditions.

If the cholesterol is HDL in nature this optimal blending of the cholesterol in the bloodstream limits the clogging of the cholesterol in the arteries and therefore maintains a healthy flow of blood within the body.
